Diferencias entre Invernadero y Jardín Botánico

No se si al resto le habrá sucedido lo mismo que a mí, pero de primeras cuando empece a hacer lo del invernadero me imaginé multiples ecosistemas, que sí puede llegar a convertirse en un invernadero pero se acerca más a la definición de jardín botánico. Pero, ¿cuál es la diferencia?

En un invernadero se trata de conseguir una construcción, de vidrio o plástico o un material que permita el paso de la luz solar pero no la salida de su radiación, en donde se cultivan plantas, a mayor temperatura que en el exterior. Esto se hace bien para obtener unas condiciones climáticas determinadas para las diferentes especies que se quieren cultivar o para aumentar la productividad del producto deseado.

En la primera foto podemos observar un invernadero en Londres, mientras que la segunda se trata del Jardín Botánico de Berlín.

Como se puede observar en el jardín botánico también puede haber invernaderos. Esto es, porque un jardín botánico se trata de una construcción que combina el exterior con el interior, pero en lugar de buscar un fin económico su objetivo es el estudio, la conservación y divulgación de la diversidad vegetal. Se caracteriza por exhibir colecciones científicas de plantas vivas, que se cultivan para conseguir alguno de estos objetivos: su conservación, investigación, divulgación y enseñanza.

Por ello según el tipo de vegetación que se trate de obtener puede requerir la construcción de invernaderos en su interior para obtener las características ambientales de un determinado lugar como vemos en la tercera fotografía, el interior de uno de los invernaderos del jardín botánico de Berlín que muestra un entorno tropical.
